Obsession and my future abode

Mr. sleep is kinda aloof lately. He's out there somewhere visiting others while he nearly forsaken me. In between those hours of sleeplessness I chose to be proactive instead of staring at the ceiling counting lizards both passers by and bystanders.

I was trying to awaken (if there was) the sleeping creative cells in my body so I could make the most of my time. Cause, you know, doing nothing at all is harder that having your hands full. But when i'm out for any creative ideas, I fish for new things to do and that lead me to revisiting my books. I noticed that my bookshelf is already full. Not that I have tons of books but because it's way too small. I am used to oppose having lots of things in my possession here because I am only renting a small apartment all for my own. I want a bigger and brighter space so to speak. But who wouldn't give in to bookshelf specially if you're fond of paperbacks?

I am spending a lot of time with my books. Treating them with new covers give me satisfaction and endless bliss. BTW, I am using shower glass sticker for covers.  To read the full article about this awesome new bestfriend for book lovers, visit Fun and Fabulous . Another treat I want my book to indulge is a cozy place to rest. That's why I am on search for a bigger bookshelf that will house them all and the rest of the new members of the family that were about to come (yes kinda obsessed with the bookstore again specially booksale).

If I was in our home and if our home is big enough, I will also make room for this one obsession. A hidden door bookshelf. It's my dream. I want it built in my room and the hidden door behind the bookshelf will lead to a sanctuary with walls and stairs made of bookshelf alike. Even the chairs and tables will housed books too.

Way too ambitious I know but as Otep said: Libre Lang Mangarap
(it's free to dream)

That is suppose to be a secret but now I blurt it out to the world. I guess the only option left for me then is to keep the location of my future home a secret, don't yah think?

I love that idea of book cover. Now I want to use my remaining roll so I could buy another style.

And sey, thanks for leaving me a very loooooooooooong comment yesterday. Hehehe. Here's my e-mail, xyz_jelly@yahoo.com :)

    1. If buying books is a vice then I am also guilty for it. I just learned it from a friend so might as well share it. It's awesome you got to try that book cover, no tapes needed.

      YW, I'll email you.

    1. Yes, we should save more, cause for sure it will consume a lot of penny though I know it's a great refuge for us book lovers.

  13. Awww, I want that too, sis! My 'bookshelf' is now overflowing too. Some of the books are already sleeping beside me. Hahaha. But, I haven't read them all pa naman. Obsessed lang talaga ako bumili ng mga books from booksales.

I'd want to visit your secret place soon. Invite mu ko ah. I'll bring tea. :)

    1. You're books are lucky I must say, they have you beside them until sleep. I can't blame you sis, I also spend a great deal of my free time at booksale. It's addiction I guess.

Syempre, I'll invite you there. Tea, that's great and I'll prepare some cookies.

  15. I love reading and books so much. Unfortunately my room is really small. I don't like exposing them in the sala or other places in the house. I just want them inside my room. So, i threw away some of my clothes and put my other books in drawers and in the closet. I've got my room's bookshelves full, a big closet full of books and a drawer nearly full of my books. I think i might need to throw away some more shirts and pants. Don't care if i'm naked. I want more space for my books!

  16. hi sey! :)

that photo of your dream library's really catchy. can't say i'm a book "lover" though, 'cause i don't give my books those treats you give yours. but i have this behavior of laying down at least four books beside me when i sleep, haha (sure hope that doesn't make me a weirdo)! i read your post, and now i'm starting to dream of sleeping in a secret library, with its door just seeming to be a slice of a wall; with not only four books, but four walls of books!!!

    nice read :)
