Sometimes, best things aren't planned

Another perk of having a birthday is the leniency towards vacation leave.
Not that we're military strict but we have special rules applied.
But since it was a special day they let me moved it at a later date.
Two days vacation leave before weekend means awesome rest.
People  asked me where's my destination.
there's no itinerary, I just want to REFLECT (over something) and REST, that's all.

Yes, there's no need for a grand vacation.
Told yah, anything that is too much is fatal so I just used the VL to experience how it feels to sleep at night during weekdays. But to add a bit spice to the lazy days, I had some time out too.
And yes, I went home. The travel time is  tad exhausting but still worth it.

I did a lot of walking which is my kind of thing

interact with mother nature at its finest,
and....this is not a rest house, it's a church
Surprise??? me too!

another venture for a self proclaimed history buff
the famous bamboo organ
and the good news, someone played it for me

The last two pictures were taken from two different places, to be specific - churches (Mary Immaculate Parish - Nature Church and St. Joseph Parish) . I'd never been to any of them before that's why I grabbed the opportunity offered on my table before heading home. It's not  like there's no other chances but opportunity sometimes knocks only once. And I was serious when I said REFLECT....need I say more?

  2. I'm so glad you enjoyed your vacation leave. And I agree, taking a break does not always have to be spent going somewhere far or loud. Sometimes it is wiser to spend those days reflecting, relaxing, and rejuvenating.

I'm amazed by that church that looks like a rest house by the way! :-)

Take care and God bless, Sey! :-)

    1. yes it really look like a rest house. That's not the main church. They have another one but I was not able to take a picture because there was an event that time. *Sad

      God bless you too :)

    1. maybe plans will serve as a map or a compass rather. They will lead you to the right direction but you also have to lead your own way. Sometimes it's hard to live to your own plan, isn't it?

    1. Ang ganda talaga niya at and the amenities were made of wood. Even the confession room has a big tree mount on the wall. But what I love the most is the adoration chapel.

  6. So you did some soul searching huh? I love abrupt getaways, no plans, just excitement and a bag full of things you need. I'm happy you had the time to reflect, and I'm sure you feel like you're a better person now. That's good, sweetie.

Btw, I wonder who played the organ for you? :)

    1. most of the times abrupt getaways are the best, isn't it? The person who played the organ was a scholar they're teaching to perfectly fit to play it every Sunday.

  13. I agree that the best things often happen without planning for them. I found the nature church to be very interesting. I have not heard of a bamboo organ before. How does it sound?

    1. It sounds like a normal organ except that the pipes were made of bamboo. It's one of a kind and it was built dated back the old times. It's one of the treasure of our country.
